Getting Real

In this past week I have had to stop my self and think is this real? Am I really dropping and leaving the comfort of everything back home to move to a third world country that is just starting to pick up the pieces from a natural disaster that happened almost 5 months ago? And the answer to that is all YES. Things are really getting rolling, just applied for my new passport, I found out that I am for sure teaching and that it will be grade one, which is exactly where I want to be. It all getting real and three months isn't that far away!

4.

Today marks the four month anniversary of the "quake." I have not forgotten, have you? Deep below the rubble that still sits there to this day, was and is a beautiful country, with people who are just as beautiful, wanting a chance in life. That is why I have chosen to move to the country I love, and help give children of all ages a chance, to love them, to help them become what ever they want to become, to know God. Come September I will be teaching in this country, doing what God wants me to do, and what I love. And from here on out, this will document the next year as I prepare, I teach, I learn, I come close to God, as I live.

Life is beautiful...

It has become that time of year, where the flowers are starting to rise up, the birds are out enjoying the warm weather that every one has been waiting for, and the hills are beautiful, the perfect weather for hiking.
I am blessed with mountains and lakes at my finger tips where I live, everyone tells me I'm lucky, that I live in the most beautiful place in the world,
and well...

Life is beautiful, and I am lucky.
